Deciding Between Regular or Early Admission Plans

Spring is on its way, and with brightening skies and budding branches comes College Season!  Juniors are stepping into the process of self-discovery and researching good-fit colleges where they can grow their aspirations and achieve their goals.

But once students have done all of their excellent college research and application prep work, there are still decisions to consider:  When do I apply?  What is the best timing for me? How does earlier or later  in the application process matter for me?

Colleges offer a varied schedule of admission plans and deadlines, including Regular, Early Action, Early Decision, Early Decision I, Early Decision II, Restricted/Single Choice Early Action  and Rolling.

Timing for submitting applications depends on a number of factors, including carefully researching schools of interest; sense of fit and purpose; understanding costs of attendance and financial implications; finalizing a polished, un-rushed application; and readiness to commit to one school if admitted via a binding Early Decision plan.
