For students and families who value the personal attention of a dedicated and knowledgeable professional, working with a dedicated and knowledgeable professional is a wise choice.
With literally thousands of colleges and universities to choose from, how do students and families embark on the college selection process?
For starters, navigating the college search process goes far beyond the so-called “top school” rankings. We begin the dialog with a thoughtful discussion about what kind of educational environment best suits each student, including size, location, academic offerings and social environment, affordability, and much more.
Beginning with the kick-off conversation. Through meetings and interviews with students and parents, combined with assessment inventories, we can create an initial list of potential schools which best meet student academic and personal criteria.
By visiting dozens of colleges each year, I explore campuses; meet with admissions representatives; chat with students; peek in on classes; even check out the libraries and cafeterias to gather useful information that I bring back to my clients. There is nothing like stepping foot on campus to gain a flavor beyond what the brochures and guidebooks show.
Working with me, students and parents have a professional hand in wading though the myriad steps that are essential to the college application process, including high school course selection; standardized test planning; outside activities; interview prep; essay support; proofreading and overall advising on applications that help students shine.
Students work through their timelines step-by-step, guided by specific to-do’s and reminders so they stay on track.
